It's for Antonio, damnit!![]()
ROCK FLAG AND EAGLE
Lol, beat me to it
IT'S STILL REAL TO ME DAMMIT!
Some one need's to let Jay know about this place - and this thread.
I agree, thats why I made that thread in the blood bowl, hopefully most of those guys come over here
This reminds me of that big list of stupid things that WCW did, where it said that the polls on the WCW website were fixed and how Hogan used them after that series of matches to try and show upper management that people like Billy Kidman weren't draws.-- Hulk Hogan refuted criticism that he "never jobs." He wrote last Friday on Twitter in response to a fan alleging he would not agree to job to wrestlers below his level of stardom: "You mean like Billy Kidman, who beat me 3 weeks in a row. HH."
And that shit was years ago. He doesn't have anything recent or credible to add now in response.![]()
Welcome to our newest member, Jay
Fuck yeah!
He had another WWE run after WCW closed, did that tour in Australia, and now his TNA run.
There has to be something more recent he could have mentioned.
This forum is noice.Mailman.
And regarding Hogan, criticizing him now for not jobbing that much in the past is whatever IMO. What's done is done, and it's all history. If anything, fans should be Twitter bombing his page and letting him know how awful TNA is (even more)
EDIT:
Morrison is having neck surgery. WOW. He's not a top draw by any means, but still a big blow to WWE, as far as long established guys fans care about. Hopefully they turn this into an angle with Truth taking him out or something.

So you officially adhere to the three month rule now, Jay?
At this point, it may as well be called the Three Week Rule.

So WWE has been looking into more British (and European in general) wrestlers lately.
A total longshot, but with Aich's outside-the-box signings it would be awesome if Prince Devitt got a chance in the WWE. Then again, he could be signed and just get the Tyson Kidd/Bourne/Gabriel treatment
Also, for anyone who missed it in the HC wrassling thread, the first episode of Lance Storm's wrestling mentor series:

Heel R-Truth is amazing.
YES!
I think he called him "Lily white john cena"
but i agree, his heel promos are retardedly interesting
Why would they advertise one main event during the show's opening, and then change it 15 minutes later? LOL.
Meh...the less Show-Kane, the better.
Also,at WWE advertising Morrison in the night's main event at the opening when his real-life surgery stuff is posted on the WWE website.
Truth is one of the best heels in WWE right now.
I can feel it guys. Kharma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And +1 for killing Alicia Fox (one half of the best match ever)
BOTH HALVES!!!! AHAHAHHAA
Edit: Oh wait, that was Melina
I am intrigued about the direction of this Kharma-Smelli Kelli beauty and the beast lesbian storyline.

Kong and Ann Darrow baby
i forgot about that
Why do so many WWE guys use different variations of the same lame ass move
D00d was looking like pre-Affliction tattoo Randy Orton this week.
I know i disagreed with Jay a few weeks ago about this, but I was wrong, Ziggler really lost something by changing his look
hell yeah he did, amazing how something like that can have such an effect
If anything, just keeping the hair long and dying it dark would have worked.
He's seriously fucked if WWE ever decides to take Vickie away from him.
Fuck...poor Christian![]()
They going to turn Orton heel again?
I haven't watched Smackdown in ages, so I'm not even sure who the heels are over there.
They need to turn Christian heel
WOO WOO WOO! YOU KNOW IT!
From the looks of it, Christian would be going heel if WWE wants to keep him in the main event picture...and that's a big "if" LOL.
SD is weak with heels since the supplemental draft raided most of them. They still have Corre, which is a joke, and are hinting at Khali turning with Jinder Mahal, and Mark Henry.
Other than that, there's like Sheamus and some jobbers (Usos, Chavo, Tyson, etc). Apparently DiBiase is turning face too.
who do they even have as quality faces? Orton and Sin cara?
Orton, Christian, Ezekiel Jackson (since Corre turned on him), Sin Cara, Daniel Bryan, Kane.
Then Superstars d00ds like Yoshi and Trent.
They got raided hard in the mid card roster.
Oh yeah, Cody on the heel side too, but who knows what they do with him now. Orton-Cody 2011 would be interesting.

They're fucking SyFy
Go Heat Bitch was edited last week, right?
Yeah. They are weird with editing Rock's stuff. "Sumbitch" is fine, but "bitch" is not one week and OK the next lol.
Not to mention R-Truth's entire racist rant. Which was awesome, though.
Yoshi Tatsu had a bunch of pictures on his Twitter of his action figure doing various activities.
He posted a picture of it missing it's head, and said that he went out to wrestle a match and when he got to the back someone ripped the head off of it.![]()
Yoshi's twitter is hilarious
COLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yoshi is the next WWE internet sensation.
Going to Wal-Mart and not finding his figure![]()
Damn, Kofi nailed Swagger pretty hard in the head with that cross body.
Made it rattle a little bit.
COLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And good bye Jerry for choking with a tie.
boring ass feud.
Hey guys, I never posted on the other HC wrestling thread, but always read through them.... I just had to add to this... did anyone else see little guido as a referee trying to pull the king off of coles tie!?
I dunno how the fuck they will have gotten 3 ppv matches outta this angle
They're working it nice and slow, like old school. They'll both come out smelling like roses.
That's going on the Raw 2011 DVD
No submissions = I quit match???
New Botchamania
Jay, any opinion on who think Chikara will put their single's title on?
Quinto, feel free to chime in too - since you've also been getting into Chikara.
Regarding their future singles championship, I'd imagine Quack as first champ for obvious reasons (which would also be why he wouldn't be champ lol), or Jigsaw even. Though ideally they'd drop the tag titles if either was to get it.
TBH there are some young guys who can have good to great singles matches, like Gargano and Taylor, but I don't think either is ready for such a run, nor would fans really buy into it right away. The big booking factor here IMO is to put it on someone already over off the bat to get the title over, rather than trying to build a younger guy (or a tag specialist) up the best singles wrestler in the promotion, while he's crowned the first champion.
And regardless, it could always be the "co-main event" to their multi-man matches.
For me, I'd put it on someone like El Generico or Claudio. Kingston certainly deserves it as well, or even a cowardly heel title run with Peck down the line. Generico would be awesome as he is a great singles wrestler and also embodies the fun and colorful vibe of Chikara, but who knows if either him or Claudio would be able to commit as many dates to Chikara as some other guys.
EDIT:
Oh yeah, Brodie Lee is a good singles wrestler too, but TBH I've never been a big fan of his.

All very good points, I think in terms of putting it on someone who is over already - UltraMantis Black could be a good choice, especially since evb though he's over it would still come as somewhat of a surprise, but I don't know how it would play in terms of what's going on with him story wise.
Could definitely see Claudio getting it - obviously a lot of people expect Kingston, and I wouldn't be mad if he did.
I don't see Quack giving himself it, doesn't seem like his style of booking - especially not with him just putting the tag straps around his own waist.
I FINALLY found The Rise and Fall of ECW, only 10 bucks. Couldn't turn that down. Watching now.
at the Chris Benoit DVD commercial at the beginning, followed by the Eddie one heh
thats one of their best documentaries by far, as a matter of fact I think i wanna watch it now![]()
Yeah, ideally I'd like to see him focus on the tag-titles rather than putting the strap on himself, which I guess would rule out Jigsaw too.
With the working relationships they have around the world, I wouldn't be surprised if they had someone else come in and carry it for a bit down the line too, kind of like Morishima in 2007 with the ROH title.
New TNA Spin Cycle up too...one of the few consistent good things about the company. Audio seems a bit out of sync, though.
Well, if this leads to a heel turn for Christian, it may not be so bad.
Christian vs Sin Cara would be a really good feud, esp. since Christian can work a traditional heavyweight style and a faster styie.
Not to mention Christian vs Daniel Bryan, or even chasing a face Orton champion. D00d could pretty much be a heel Rey Mysterio, sort of like Jericho was.
Having Truth and Christian go from face to heel in 60 seconds? They're really running low on shit to do. They should bring back Hacksaw and have him form another Canadien faction with Cpt. Charisma. Call it "We Don't Have Any Heels Competent Enough To Fight Our Faces".
/Nimmy
I think Christian turning heel is the only way to go, they pretty much buried him as a face in a 48 hour period
Pretty much, and he could use the whole "you fans pressured me into defending it against Orton" gimmick since Teddy Long did make it a fan vote. I mean, unless it's a Barry Horwitz type gimmick, I don't think fans would really buy into a face continuing to chase the World Heavyweight title after being pinned clean.
I know R-Truth turned heel a few weeks ago using a similar approach, but so long as both branch out into different paths following the initial turn, I wouldn't mind it that much.
Even though he's better as a heel IMO (Mercy Drive heel, that is), I don't see WWE turning Orton right now since there are no faces in that top, main event level on SD. Unless they bring back Batista or Jericho, or something along those lines.
I think they should just can Corre at this point and put Legacy back together.
He talks like X-Tian's new. I'm sure he meant 'guy not really utilized in this capacity before'.MVP on Christian’s brief title reign: “I’m sure there’s a bigger picture. Let’s look at it like this. The WWE is desperately in need of new stars. Edge is out, Taker doesn’t have much time left, Rey-Rey doesn’t have much time left, and they’re trying to take these new guys and turn them into something, and it takes time. The guys that are leaving have 15-20 years of television... and these new guys coming in have a few years and there’s just not that emotional investment. Christian is going to be a player.
I understand the whole "Need to make new stars" deal.
But nobody has ever benefited from a one day title run.
"Rey-Rey doesnt have much time left" is that a promise? I use to love Rey but I'm tired of him now. WCW Rey > WWE Rey.
That said Christian also has a lot of years of Television. If you ask me, he should have been a player a long time ago. People wanna see him champ, don't ruin this WWE.
WWE is probably sitting back like:
Yeah and you guys also use to chant "Matt Hardy World Heavyweight Champ, well hes certainly a heavyweight.

It's strange to think that Rey's probably sporting a head of grey hair under that mask now.
I can't imagine him staying that much longer, as he requires cartilage injections into his knees to just perform the toned-down style he does now. Makes you wonder how much more he could tone down his style to where he could still be entertaining in-ring and/or how much longer his knees last regardless.
I do like the idea of Rey vs Truth, though. IMO Rey is the most "pure" babyface on the entire roster, so that it will really help Truth shine as a heel. Not to mention Rey's promos, while not great, aren't robotic like Morrison's.
If he stick around long enough does anybody think Sin Cara can be a successful replacement for Rey? I dont think so, while exciting in the ring the fact I dont think he speaks much english or any english at all will hinder him from reaching that level.
a good chunk of being successful is being able to cut a good promo, obviously there is exceptions but usually its very very important
Sin Cara has totally sucked in WWE thus far, which is disappointing because of how good Mistico is. Even his in-ring work has been boring as fuck. And a televised program with Chavo?Chavo is a great opponent for the house show circuit; but not someone you build a program around with a guy you've hyped so much. I mean, there is a whole generation of fans who only know Chavo as the guy who couldn't beat Hornswoggle, and nothing more.
Unless Sin Cara learns English fairly quickly and more importantly, learns how to cut a passable promo, he could face the issue of having a shot body by the time he can cut a semi-decent promo. It's sort of like Rey, where in his prime he barely had any mic time and when he did, it was bad, but now, he gets a lot of mic time but his in-ring work has deteriorated greatly.
One thing which benefits Cara is he'll likely work a program with Rey before Rey leaves, maybe even at WM28 given the high Latino population in Miami. Rey had been pushing to bring Mistico in since like 2006-2007 so if anyone can help get the d00d over to the next level, it would be the guy he's being groomed to replace. And Rey isn't one of those sensitive ego fagggs afraid of putting people over.
Jay's positive remarks about Rey lately has been astonishing![]()
LOL I wouldn't call it a total 180 or anything but when I see how depleted and gimped the roster is now after some of the "top" guys have left, it makes me appreciate a guy like Rey who is secure enough to go out of his way and work with younger guys...and actually put them over.
Cena does it every now and then, but it last for like a single night, which fans forget about the next week.
I've grown to like truth alot. This heel shit is awesome. Is it just me feeling like when they do heel turns they have this style of doing a heel turn, 3 different ways? It's always the same way. With no real awesome storylines. Fuck, i think WWE could be really amazing if they would meet halfway with an attitude/pg era. Anybody that don't know what I mean by that is, a mixture of both of those elements could really make wwe awesome right now.
I think swearing made wwe too. More physical matches as well, there slowly starting to bring a little more wrestling into each match every ppv or every week but man, you gotta have them storylines. Without them everything just looks rehashed, boring, simple minded shit.
Just like HHH vs Taker at wm this year, that was basically an hbk storyline they used last year just upgraded a little bit for HHH. It fucking sucks man.
I hope the day comes where mcmahon gives the company to HHH or something and HHH gets rid of that pg shit.
Some people want an explanation for why I did what I did. But you people DON'T DESERVE AN EXPLANATION!
Yeah I feel ya, I agree. Hopefully they go somewhere with truth and not just have him flirt with title scene but never be in it/get a run. I wouldnt mind seeing him have a title run, you need new guys in the scene.
No, I don't see him around much longer, I know HHH is gunna want to keep him aroud a bit longer since that was one of HHH's signings and being that he essentially is one of his boys I could see him being forced down our throats, but I dont see him around much longer.
ThisI just dont know where he fits in in the long run though. American/Intercontinental title scene? I can't see him as WWE/World Heavyweight champ. Theres no Cruiserweight anymore, and tag teams mean nothing.
No promo skills = no future, right Shelton?
